Focused on your individual needs

Equine Osteopathy is a drug free horse-centred system of healthcare. This makes equine osteopathy different to many other systems of care that are condition/disease centred.

Equine osteopaths see the whole horse rather than just another animal with a disorder. Your equine osteopath will seek to identify and address the key influences that will lead to your horse's restored health and well being.

You will be given treatment and advice individually
tailored to your horse.

Your equine osteopath can work along side your vet, there is no need to stop any medication that has been prescribed
for your horse.

Our equine osteopaths are highly trained, to become an equine osteopath in our practice you must first qualify as a 'human' osteopath, which takes 4 years full time study, and then gain a relevant post graduate diploma in animal osteopathy.

It is important to ascertain the training, regulatory body and insurance cover of anyone treating your horse. Whilst it is illegal to call yourself an osteopath (treating humans) if you are not a GOsC registered osteopath, unfortunately a person can call themselves an equine osteopath. Osteopaths are currently lobbying to have the name 'equine osteopath' protected by law as we believe it is misleading the general public and putting horses' welfare at risk.

If you see a 'back man' not previously qualified as a recognised therapist you may not have any come back if your horse receives poor treatment.
